Man throws woman, her 4 daughters out of train in UP; 2 dead. Survivor says her father, uncle got into a brawl after which the latter threw her sisters out
Sitapur, Lakhmipur distirct (UP): one at a time, as it moved through Uttar Pradesh, killing two and leaving the other three seriously injured, police said on Thursday.
The eldest sister, Albul, told police that their father and uncle were drinking alcohol and got into a brawl after which her uncle threw the sisters out of the train.
Initially, police had said a seven-year-old girl was killed and her two sisters critically injured when they were allegedly thrown out of the Amritsar-Saharsa Jan Seva Express by their inebriated father and uncle on Tuesday.
Today, they said their mother and another sister suffered the same fate.
GRP Circle Officer AK Singh said it was now clear that the family of seven -- Iddu, his wife Afreen and their four daughters, and his brother Iqbal -- was going to Bihar. As the train approached Maigalganj, Afreen was the first to be thrown off and her daughter Rabia was next, the CO said.
The body of the woman was found from the Maigalganj area of Lakhimpur district on Wednesday evening, while the child was discovered with severe injuries by the tracks near the Mehmoodabad area here, police said.
Rabia is undergoing treatment in Lucknow. Once her condition stabilises, police would get additional information, the CO said.
Earlier reports said among the three young girls thrown out of the train, Munni succumbed to injuries while Albul (12) and Saleema Khatoon (4) were admitted to a hospital here, where their condition was stated to be critical.
The police are yet to arrest the father and the uncle.

Iddu and Iqbal, residents of Motihari district in Bihar, work in Punjab. The Motihari police have been approached for help, Singh said.
While Munni was found dead at Ramaipur halt, around 11 km from Biswan town in the district, Albul and Saleema were found injured at different locations.
