Actor turned politician Gugni Gill still keeps entertainment industry close to her heart

July 18, 2019: A passion and instinct of acting did not let actor turned politician/philanthropist Gurinderdeep Kaur to do away with entertainment. Famous as Gugni Gill Panaich, the actor turned politician believes that acting and film industry will remain always close to her heart.

Born and brought up in Africa, Gugni Gill moved to India to pursue her studies. She is a strong female activist and has been applauded globally for her achievements. She has actively worked towards the welfare of many downtrodden people. She is a well know personality in Toronto and her passion to do something extraordinary has always been tempting her to search for the best avenue in life. In 2014 Gugni Gill ran for election in Brampton-west riding on Ontario and had historical voters turn out.

Being an active philanthropist, she was selected as the North American Brand Ambassador for the Imran Khan Cancer foundation. She was also jury member of PIFF Canada 2013 and was nominated as a Canadian Ambassador for Roko cancer foundation.

Before coming into politics, Gugni Gill did her debut movie “Rab Dian Rakhan” in 1996, which was Directed by Late Dara Singh, Wasiyat 1997, Badla-the revenge 2003 Directed by Prince Dhaliwal, Jagtra 2007 Directed by Sukhjinder Shera and Dulla Vaily 2019 in which she played a role Dulla's wife opposite Guggu gill. She has worked as Assistant Director in movie Do Lafzon Ki Kahani (2016) directed by Deepak Tijori. Being born and brought up outside India she always feel deep connection with Punjab. She has also walked ramp for many fashion shows in India and abroad. In addition, she has hosted many shows in Canada, has bagged the Miss Punjaban Award and judged several beauty pageants and shows.

Gugni married to Gurdip Singh Panaich who is officer in Canadian police force after marriage she decided to take break from her profession and concentrate on her family Gugni and Gurdip have two children Yuvraj Singh and Yashraj Singh.
