The facility of registration and updation of Aadhaar Card would now be available at post offices, banks, government offices and e-Disha Centres in Haryana. This was decided in the 10th meeting of Unique Identification Implementation Committee (UIDIC) held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi in Chandigarh.
Mr. Dhesi has directed the officers of Health Department to ensure proper Aadhaar registration of children from 0-5 years of age and the officers of Hartron Communication Ltd to make tablets available for registration purpose. He also directed the officers to organise camps for Aadhaar registration of school students and take their biometric impressions. Apart from this, the Information and Technology Department would ensure facility of Aadhaar registration of differently abled and senior citizens.
He said that Haryana is at first position in the country with 99.7 per cent of Aadhaar registration of children from 0 to 5 years of age. Apart from this, the state is at sixth position in terms of total Aadhaar registration. He directed the officers to ensure that facilities being given to any beneficiary should not be stopped for not having Aadhaar registration.
