VADODARA: A non-resident Indian having his roots in Anand town of central Gujarat was killed in a fatal shooting in the United States on Saturday.
According to relatives of the family, some unidentified assailants had entered the motel at around 3.30. am with the motive to carry out a loot."When Akash tried to intervene, the assailants opened firing inside the motel leaving three other employees in the motel injured. Akash died on the spot. After the police reached there, the injured were shifted to hospital where condition of one employee is still critical," said a family friend and administrator of P G Arts College Raman P Patel.
TAkashTalati, 40, who used to run a motel on Fretwell Road in North Caroline state state of US, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in wee hours of Saturday.
Akash, the only son of former principal of Anand Arts College Ramesh Talati, had shifted to US a decade ago. The parents of the deceased, who stay at Sanket Residency on Anand-Lambhvel Road, are in shock after the incident.
After earning a bachelors degree from Sardar Patel University, Akash had shifted to US where he managed a motel.

"Akash's three uncles, who are settled in United States and his sister Chhaya who is based in New Jersey are reaching North Carolina," he said.
Akash is survived by wife Mital, who hails from Surat and eight-year-old son Jay.
Akash used to frequently visit India to meet his elderly parents and was expected to visit his hometown in January 2018.
