Ludhiana, October 24, 2017 : A section of the NRIs of the World are more worried than the citizens of India on the issue of Adhar Card ( UID), the linking of  which has been made mandatory with every bank account. The NRIs who have their accounts in the banks in India  and do not have the Adhar cards and but no access to the instructions of UID, are in panic to know the RBI directions that all the accounts not linked with Adhar cards will become un-operational. Some of them may have the Adhar cards but most of them could not get the Adhar cards due to some reason or the other.

Due to the lack of proper publicity by the RBI, Banks or the Government or NRI department of Punjab Governments,  some of the NRIs , who have any bank account in India may have planning to visit to India for getting the Adhar card so that their bank accounts. But Babushahi.com wants to inform them that they not to worry because the linking of Adhar ( UID ) or PAN is not mandatory for NRI/OCI operated accounts. There is only one condition that these accounts should by NRI or NRO accounts.

The reason behind this is that NRI/OCI are not eligible to obtain Adhar as per Adhar act.
