3 siblings injured in LoC firing

Jammu, October 14: Three siblings were injured as India and Pakistan exchanged heavy fire and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

An official said that Pakistani army resorted to firing along the LoC in Balakote sector of Mendhar today evening around 7pm. Indian army, he said, retaliated to the firing.

The official said that a mortar shell landed in front of a house in Khanetar Dhargaloon village of Balakote, resulting in injuries to three children.

“All the injured were taken to Dhargaloon health centre from where from a17-year-old girl was referred to GMC&H Jammu for specialized treatment,” said BMO Mendhar.
